Trauma Focused Psychotherapist

We have an immediate need for an experienced Trauma Focused Psychotherapist to provide psychotherapy to first responders. This position will be contract (part time) to start but could develop into a full time role as we continue to grow.

Qualities we're looking for:
Trained in at least 2 (preferably 3) of the following trauma informed psychotherapy models: IFS, Somatic Experiencing (SE), Sensorimotor, NARM, Brainspotting, EMDR, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Traumatic Incident Reduction or AEDP
At least 3 years experience in the provision of trauma centred psychotherapy and independent licensure in your respective profession
Passionate about systemic change and anti-oppressive practice
LGBTQIA+ affirming and knowledgeable or willing to learn
Committed to lifelong learning and professional growth as part of a team
Interest in psychedelic assisted psychotherapy (we’ll provide the training!)
Minimum Qualifications:
Masters degree in social work, counselling psychology, psychology or a related area leading to licensure
Registered member in good standing with the OCSWSSW, CRPO or CPA
Other Assets:
Training and experience in psychedelic or ketamine assisted psychotherapy
Training and experience in supporting first responders and their families (prior experience as fire fighter, police officer or paramedic would be a particular asset)
Training and experience in the treatment of OCD, eating disorder or substance use concerns in the context of trauma
Training and experience in couples and/or family counselling
